At approximately 5:19am, officers with the Mineral Wells Police Department were dispatched to the 1500 block of SE 18th Street in reference to a shots fired call for service. When officers arrived, they learned a white female in her 30’s had been shot multiple times by a known suspect who had already fled the scene. The scene was secured and Mineral Wells EMS was called to assess the victim’sinjuries. The victim was subsequently flown to a nearby trauma hospital.

Officer’s quickly obtained a name and possible location of the suspect. The suspect was located and detained until a warrant for Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon could be obtained. The status of the victim is unknown and this is an active and ongoing investigation.
