This story was updated on Friday November 25….Weather has forced the festival to move inside the Crazy Water Hotel and push back the start time from 10am until 11am. Check Merry Wells Facebook for complete details.
If you’re still feeling a little Scroogish and not quite in the swing of the Holiday Season, this weekend Mineral Wells is the place to find your jolly spirit.
Merry Wells kicks off this Saturday, November 26 at 11am in its new downtown location and runs until 9pm. A day of scheduled performances, a vendor fair, downtown shopping, ice skating, Santa Visits and so much more festive stuff will get your bells jingling.
The festival will be located along NE 1st Avenue as well as parts of NE & NW 1st Street and part of NE 2nd Street.
Event organizer Jacy Roach says the new location is super exciting for the festival.
“We have the most vendors we have had since Merry Wells has started and the parade has over 40 floats,” said Roach.
“Santa will be at the gazebo after the parade. Palo Pinto County 4H Shooting Sports Club has paid parking spots behind the Woodman of the World building. We are excited and hope the rain stops by Saturday morning,”
The forecast is calling for 10% chance of rain at parade time. The high will be in the lower 50’s.
