Local Trooper Named County Fire Marshal
Palo Pinto County has named Ricky Hunter the new Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator for the County. Hunter brings over 19 years of experience with the Texas Department of Public Safety and currently is the Public Information Officer for the DPS in the area and will soon retire from that position. He will begin his new County job after the beginning of the new year.
“I appreciate the opportunity Palo Pinto County Commissioners and County Judge Long have given me to continue to serve the citizens and visitors of Palo Pinto County as the Emergency Management Coordinator and Fire Marshal,” said Hunter. “I look forward to stepping up to the challenges and opportunities this new endeavor will bring in order to keep Palo Pinto County residents and visitors as safe as possible.”
