County Takes No Action on Restricting Fireworks

The New Year is a time many celebrate by setting off fireworks and thanks to a decent amount of moisture the last several weeks, County residents will be allowed to ring in 2023 under a canopy of fireworks if they desire to do so.
No action was taken today at the County Commissioner’s Court restricting the use of fireworks!
For the second meeting in a row, Commissioner’s took no action on the agenda item keeping it legal to discharge fireworks in the County.
Many recall in a last minute decision before Independence Day, Commissioner’s banned the sell and discharge of fireworks in the County because of the extremely dry hazardous conditions. The County was still recovering from multiple wild fires and felt conditions were too dangerous.
Rainfall over the last few months has brought some much needed relief to the area and officials removed the burn ban on November 14.
