Representative Glenn Rogers met again for the third time in several weeks with area water supply decision makers to collaborate on the future of water in the area.

Today he brought State Representative Lyle Larson, Chairman for the House Natural Resource Committee and Jason Knobloch of the Texas Rural Water Association to the discussion table which was held inside the Crazy Water Hotel. The discussion continues in the direction of unification for a regional water district.

According to the consensus in the room, the most viable, quickest solution is to expand the existing water district and invite representation from surrounding entities to serve on the board.

All in the room seemed to be in agreement, basically creating a verbal commitment between Palo Pinto and western Parker County to unify to develop a regional planning district.

MWAN will publish more information from the meeting soon and explain the next steps these public figures will take to make this plan of action a reality in the next two weeks before lawmakers reconvene in Austin. Here is a link to the initial story that introduces the idea of a regional water planning district that MWAN exclusively covered.
