Shooters Hit the Range for Spring Season
The Palo Pinto County 4H Shooting Sports Club hit the range at the Brazos Gun Club on February 5 to kick off their shooting season for Spring 2023.
The shooting club has seen the most participants ever this year since it started in the early 1990’s. Club organizers had to turn kids away this season due to a lack of space for participants.
Shooters practice every Sunday afternoon in preparation for a County competition as well as a District competition in Wichita Falls in late April. Kids will participate in pistol and rifle relay.
Archery is also offered by the Shooting Club and organizers have just become certified in the Shotgun program and hope to offer that discipline by the end of the Spring.
Enrollment is closed for the 2023 Spring season, but be on the lookout for signups for the Fall season later this year. For more information, check out The Palo Pinto 4H .
