BINGO EVENT TO BENEFIT GRADUATING SENIORS

By Amy Bearden/Mineral Wells Area News
When was the last time you made a trip to the local Bingo hall?
It’s likely been a hot minute for most of us, so this weekend grab your best buddy and get over to the VFW to enjoy two-hours of Bingo fun to benefit Project Graduation for the Mineral Wells High School Class of 2023.
The event takes place Sunday March 5th from 2-4pm at the VFW Post 2399, located at 1400 Veterans of Foreign War Street. It’s a family-friendly event offering both smoking and non-smoking sections for the Bingo games.

Bingo cards are $1.00 per game with no maximum of how many you can purchase. Cash prizes will be awarded and all proceeds will benefit Project Graduation. Doors will open at 1:00 and lunch will be available for purchase as well.
The concept of Project Graduation started approximately 43 years ago, in Maine, after seven students lost their lives on graduation night in an alcohol/drug related accident. Mineral Wells High School has participated since 1994 with more than 90 percent of graduating seniors participating.

This drug and alcohol-free celebration will be held off school premises and serves to keep celebration activities safe and under the supervision of adults. Help the Class of 2023 have one of the best graduation celebrations by participating in the MWHS Project Graduation Bingo fundraiser.
