Winners Named for Hall of Honor – Ram Elite Society

Each year two senior students are selected out of eight Ram Elite finalists who best exemplify “loyal” Rams. These young men and women are models of outstanding character. They are leaders, scholars, athletes, and good citizens. They are recognized for their attitude to education, school activities, peer respect, leadership, citizenship, loyalty to school, award recognition, and community involvement.
The Ram Elite Ceremony was held May 1 in the MWHS Auditorium and Mason Wraight and Mason Facteau were chosen from the distinguished list of students.

Mason Facteau
Extra-Curricular Activities: Football (4 years), Team Captain (2 years), Academic All-State 2nd Team. Basketball (4 years), Academic All-State 2nd Team. Varsity baseball (4 years), Team Captain (3 years).Clubs & Organizations: FFA (4 years), 3 years as an officer (Greenhand, Advisor, and Secretary), STUCO, and Senior Class Vice President, NHS (2 years) and NHS Vice President, and Clark Gardens volunteer. Principal’s Advisory Committee, Fun Day and Lamar Classroom volunteer. Showed animals for four years with FFA, participated in Job interviews, and on Radio Contest team. Salvation Army volunteer over holidays through NHS, and two time blood donor through student council. Attended Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.
Future Plans:College/University/ Trade School: Attend Texas Tech to further my education.

2014 Ram Elite Inductee Cayler Banks was the special guest of honor and spoke to the students and reminded the distinguished group to always have a mentor as they navigate life.
Also each year during the Elite Ram ceremony, a Distinguished Alumnus is named and honored. The 2023 winner was awarded posthumously to long time English Teacher Bonnie Stroman who passed away during this school year. Her brother Jeff was presented with the award by her good friend Marcelinda Williams.
