M & B Ranch Has Room to Party

Owned by Bruce Johnson and Maria Garcia, M & B Ranch is a unique jewel located in Parker County, on the Eastern outskirts of Mineral Wells where people can host the celebration of their dreams.
Following a personal tragedy in 2019, Johnson and Garcia began looking for a new residence. The couple purchased their place and relocated during March of 2020, at the onset of COVID. The previous owners originally had plans to turn the acreage into a resort, but none of the plans had ever come to fruition and with the new owners, M & B Ranch was born.

Initially daunted by the idea of the upkeep of the landscape, Johnson’s doubts only existed for a short time. Garcia instantly knew this was the place for them.
Once the family resided on the property, they hosted a Quinceanera for their daughter. After that party, the thought of utilizing their new home as an event venue began to form. Shortly after their daughter’s celebration, a friend approached them about holding her wedding on the land, with a proposition of payment, and the concept of starting an event venue at their new private residence began to take shape.

During this time, they discovered a third party that aided in personal swimming pool rentals to people looking for a place to host summer parties, so they began to rent out their pool.
After dipping their toes into the idea of using their home as a venue, they quickly realized they would benefit by adding restrooms that were accessible from outdoors and a spacious bridal suite. From that point, it quickly transformed into the business they are running today. With little advertising, most of their revenue has been generated simply by word of mouth.
The result has been been a treasured labor of love fueled by excitement that has continued to amplify their passion for what they do.

When asked what the biggest obstacle has been in transforming their home to a public venue, Garcia stated, “Advertising! We want to make sure we are reaching everyone who is in the market for a venue but don’t know we are here, and we don’t feel that we’ve reached our potential in doing so.”
“We have been blessed to find the right people that we’ve been needing to take this to the next level. Everything is coming together in perfect timing,” she continued, as she explained how they’ve overcome the challenges they’ve faced.

Garcia feels their venue is an ideal wedding venue and hopes marketing efforts will attract more bridal parties and big day celebrations.
“Your wedding is the first chapter of your Happily Ever After. Our desire at M & B Ranch is to make your opening line of that story as memorable and as beautiful as possible,” said Garcia.

Accommodating up to one hundred and seventy-five guests, M & B Ranch offers four acres of expansive landscape with an Old-World Hacienda ambiance designed to provide an intimate outdoor atmosphere.
Amenities available include a spacious Bridal Suite, easily accessible restrooms, a covered pavilion, and countless backdrops in a natural, rustic setting for your photography needs.
Garcia says the team at M & B Ranch is committed to creating an experience personally tailored for the love story you want to tell.
