18-YEAR-OLD TEEN SUSTAINED LIFE THREATING GUN SHOT WOUND

MINERAL WELLS, TEXAS – On 8/1/2023 at 0231 hours, Police Officers with the Mineral Wells Police Department and EMS were dispatched tot h e 200 block of Evergreen, Mineral Wells, Palo
Pinto County, Texas regarding a male with a gunshot wound. Officers and EMS arrived on scene to find an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was transported by air ambulance toHarris Hospital in Fort Worth. Detectives with the Mineral Wells Police Department were dispatchedt o the scene tointerviewwitness, collect evidence and ultimately arrested an 18-year-old male. The District Attorney’s Office assisted
the Mineral Wells Police Department in this investigation.
The suspect was transported to the Mineral Wells Police Department where he was interviewed by Detectives and has currently been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The victim is currently in grave condition at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth.
There were seven teenage males at the residence during the time of the incident. Detectives interviewed five witnesses onscene and completed thecrime scene investigation, where two
