Rams Will Face a Young, But Tough Benbrook Football Team Tonight

The Rams will travel to Fort Worth today to take on Benbrook and Head Football Coach Cody Worrell told the crowd at the Coaches Breakfast on Friday morning that the Bobcats are going to be a challenge.
“I’m not trying to scare anyone,” said Worrell, noting Benbrook’s 1 and 9 record on last year’s season might fool some.
He’s been prepping his players to realize that despite beating the Bobcats 28-14 last year, tonight’s game is going to be their first test of the season.
“We are going to have to play all 4 quarters to win this game,” claimed Worrell, who also said Benbrook actually stands a chance to win their District title this year.
“We are going to get tested tonight. They are a good team with a great quarterback and they are going to throw the ball. They are going to throw deep passes,” said the Ram’s Head Coach.
Benbrook’s QB Colin Thompson doesn’t just have an arm though, he is a runner as well. He carried the ball 109 yards last week against Iowa Park and currently leads the Bobcats stats in rushing.
Worrell is definitely not underestimating the Bobcats and preparing his kids for the challenge. He also mentioned Benbrook’s star Running Back Chris Harris, who as a Sophomore stands 6’3” and weighs 255 pounds. His stature keeps him a force on both offense and defense.
With the Rams coming off a big win against Western Hills, they will need the same kind of magic Junior QB Owen Gadd brought to the field last week.
Gadd was six for six in passing, hitting Preztynn Harrison three times for three touchdowns. The running game continues to be on point as well for the Rams with stars like Jose Garcia and Jovan Ramirez.
