City Seeking Employee to help in Accounting Department; Pay is over $21 an hour

JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager; perform technical accounting and fiscal duties; reconcile major accounts and bank statements; make journal entries; participate in the development of a variety of financial reports; provide computer hardware and software support.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, DEGREES, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by higher level course work in accounting or business practices.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Three years of increasingly responsible data processing, accounting, and technical experience in the maintenance of budgets and financial records. Knowledge and skills to operate a typewriter, calculator, personal computer and computer terminal and other office equipment; type at a speed necessary for successful job performance; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
STARTING SALARY $21.88 hour.
