Shelley Jo Ramsey, 62, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 16.
Shelley was born on June 7, 1961, in Mineral Wells to Bill and Marge Medlin.

She married the love of her life, Owen Ramsey, on June 4, 1983. Together, they raised two children, Rachel and Cody.

Shelley enjoyed cruising with her family, visiting National Parks with her love, attending the Fort Worth Symphony with her daughter, bragging about her Navy son and daughter-in-law, and photographing the birds and sunsets/sunrises on the Ramsey Farm. Her greatest adventures involved zoo trips, train rides, and general mischief with her grandboys. Being a Grammie was one of her favorite roles.

A career banker, Shelley worked at First Financial Bank for over 35 years and was beloved by her customers and coworkers. Shelley volunteered countless hours with Meals on Wheels of Palo Pinto County and was a dedicated board member of Noah’s Ark Thrift Store. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she worshiped the Lord and shared her love of music through instrument and song nearly all her life.

Shelley was preceded in death by her father, Bill Medlin, and her brother, Mark Medlin. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Owen Ramsey, her children, Rachel Lively and husband Thomas, Cody Ramsey and wife Edmarie, mother, Marge Medlin, and sister Leslee Barham and husband Allen, grandchildren Preston and Owen Lively, as well as numerous other much-loved family.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 20th at 2pm at First Baptist Church Mineral Wells. Visitation will be Thursday, October 19th from 6-8pm in the BcB Annex.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Noah’s Ark Thrift Store or First Baptist Church.
