Man arrested in MW by Fort Worth Police;Charged with Sexual Assault of a Child

A 21-year-old man was arrested in the 1600 block of NW 5th Avenue when a team of law enforcement agents from the Fort Worth Police Department and the US Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force served a warrant on January 10th in Mineral Wells.

Andrew Sims was arrested without incident and booked into Tarrant County on charges of sexual assault of a child. A bond has been set at $20,000.
The North Texas Fugitive Task Force said this is a FWPD case and directed MWAN to them for a follow up. The FWPD media contact referred us back to the US Marshal office so we will share more information as it becomes available.
Mineral Wells Police Department was not on the scene but they were aware the warrant was being served.
