County Burn Ban Implemented & Response Plan Activated

From the Desk of Palo Pinto County Fire Chief Danny Watkins
INCLEMENT WEATHER RESPONSE PLAN ACTIVATED DUE TO WILDFIRE RISK IN PALO PINTO COUNTY:
Effective immediately, our inclement weather response plan has been reinstated. Due to increasing wildfire risk, Palo Pinto County and surrounding areas are now under a “significant” risk due to high temperatures and low humidity.
As per protocol, any grass fire will have two stations dispatched. Any grassfire threatening a structure will have three stations and a duty chief dispatched. This proactive approach is intended to establish a fast and effective response force, prioritizing the safety of our citizens and minimizing fire risks throughout the county. ###Danny Watkins / Fire Chief/Palo Pinto County ESD 1###
Dry conditions across the County have caused Commissioners to reinstate the Burn Ban in Palo Pinto County as of October 15th.
