Moore leads Lady Rams scoring with 16 points

The Mineral Wells Lady Rams on Tuesday dropped a 51-39 decision to Bowie, the first of three straight road games.

The loss snapped a Mineral Wells three-game win streak.

Junior guard Addyson Moore led the Lady Rams (8-3) with 16 points, with 12 coming from four three-point shots, going 4-of-5 from behind the arc.

Aniya Richardson also scored in double figures with 11 points. The second-year guard hit six of her nine free throw attempts while also tallying five steals and creating four turnovers.

Senior guard Kahlea Samples added eight points to go with five rebounds, four assists three steals and creating seven turnovers.

Maci Ruelas and Emery Boswell had two points apiece.

The Lady Rams were 5-of-13 on three-point attempts and 8-of-19 from inside the arc.

Mineral Wells next plays Tuesday at Class 5A-1 Saginaw (7-5) with a scheduled 7:30 p.m. tip.
