MINERAL WELLS, Texas — Brookshire Grocery Company will host a grand opening ceremony Wednesday, March 19, to celebrate their extensive renovations at its Mineral Wells location.

The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. at the store located at 100 Southeast 17th Ave., with the Chamber of Commerce and company leaders hosting a ribbon cutting at 11am.

The company’s Big Grocery Cart will be displayed outside the store.

Store improvements include new flooring, décor, lighting, interior and exterior paint, shopping carts, lower-priced produce and fresh meat cut daily. The renovated location also features a fresh deli department and offers Curbside Grocery pickup service for customers.

“We know the importance of providing great service in our stores, and we also understand the importance of supporting our communities,” said Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO of Brookshire Grocery Company.

“We truly enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering for community events and supporting nonprofit and service organizations.”

Throughout the year long renovation, the store not only stayed open to enable shopping throughout construction, they also supported local nonprofits such as the Mineral Wells Center of Life and The Community Kitchen.

As part of the revitalized store’s Grand Re-Opening celebration, the company will donate to the Mineral Wells first responders through the city’s fire and police departments.

Seth Merryman, who has been with the company since 2015, serves as store director.

Following Wednesday’s opening, customers will have opportunities to win Brookshire’s gift cards.

On March 29 and April 5, beginning at 10 a.m., the first 101 shoppers who spend $25 or more and present their Thank You Card at checkout will receive a gift card valued between $5 and $100.
