MINERAL WELLS, TX — What started a few years ago as a simple idea from George King (aka “King George” of the Class of ‘91) has grown into one of Mineral Wells’ most beloved summertime traditions. The Mineral Wells High School Alumni & Friends Summer Reunion is back this Saturday, July 19, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest bash yet.
The Patio at Coffee & Cocktails will be lit Saturday night with former MWHS alumnus and friends reminiscing. It’s a night you don’t want to miss
Hosted once again at the fan-favorite Coffee & Cocktails at 76067 (100 S. Oak Ave.), the event brings together generations of Rams for a night of music, memories, and lots of hugs. With 400+ alumni on the email list and over 600 members in the Facebook group, a big crowd is expected — and everyone is welcome.
“This event isn’t just for graduates. It’s open to all — classmates, friends, former teachers, administrators — anyone who wants to reconnect and celebrate,” said King George.
The party kicks off at 5:00 p.m., with Joseph Bull, a talented current MWHS student, performing live on the patio from 5 to 7 p.m.. After that, Mixing Saint takes over the turntables for the rest of the night. As King George says — “there’s no parking on the dance floor.”
Hungry? You’re in luck. The award-winning Smokin’ 3 C’s BBQ food truck will be on-site, proudly operated by Ram alums Chris (‘94) and Cassie (‘96) VanNatta. They recently took home the title of Best BBQ of 2025 at the Food Truck Championship of Texas.
And don’t forget to bring cash (or Venmo) — limited-edition reunion shirts and koozies will be sold to support the MWHS Alumni Scholarship Fund, benefitting future Ram grads. Donations are welcome, and every dollar makes a difference.
So round up your classmates, bring your dance shoes, and join the party!
