First Responders to Hold Annual Back-to-School Bash Set for Aug. 2 at Mineral Wells Aquatic Center
Families are invited to kick off the new school year with a splash at the 2025 Back-to-School Bash, set for Saturday, Aug. 2 at the Mineral Wells Aquatic Center.
The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 1200 W. Hubbard St. Admission is free, and the evening will feature bounce houses, free hot dogs and water (while supplies last), and complimentary “chimp-sized” snow cones from Funky Munky Shaved Ice for school-aged children.
Organizers say the annual celebration is a way to bring the community together before the first day of school.

🔹 Mineral Wells Association of Professional Firefighters
🔹 Mineral Wells Parks and Recreation Department
🔹 Children’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County
The pool will be open for swimming during the event, and organizers encourage families to bring towels and swimsuits.
