MINERAL WELLS, Texas — Adina Morris of the Palo Pinto County District Attorney’s Office has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Suzanne McDaniel Award, one of the highest honors presented by the Texas District and County Attorneys Association (TDCAA).

Morris will receive the award Nov. 5 during TDCAA’s Key Personnel and Victim Assistance Coordinator Conference. The Suzanne McDaniel Award is presented to just one individual each year across Texas, recognizing exceptional dedication and compassion in service to crime victims.

As a longtime Victim Assistance Coordinator, Morris has supported victims throughout Palo Pinto County with tireless dedication while also helping other coordinators across the state. Colleagues credit her with approaching her work effortlessly, compassionately and with a steady commitment to victims’ rights.

Beyond her daily role, Morris also organizes the county’s annual Angel Tree ceremony. The event provides families who have lost loved ones to violent crime a chance to place a commemorative ornament in their memory, creating a public space for healing and remembrance.

The award is named for Suzanne McDaniel, a pioneering victims’ rights advocate in Texas. Morris’s selection places her among a small group of honorees recognized statewide for their impact on victims and communities.
