Candidates File for 2026 Republican Primary in Palo Pinto County

The filing period for the March 2026 Republican Primary opened Saturday, Nov. 8, drawing a full slate of county and precinct candidates to the Palo Pinto County Republican Headquarters. Dozens of local officeholders and challengers officially submitted their paperwork as the primary season gets underway.

The following candidates filed for a place on the Republican ballot:

County Tax Assessor-Collector: Margaret Pechacek-Griffith
County Treasurer: Deanna Copeland; Heather Mahaffey
