Growing Season Nears as Let’s Grow Crazy Launches Year-Round Indoor Market
By Tai Silva-Saylor | Special to Mineral Wells Area News

As planting season approaches and the 2026 open-air farmers market season draws near, Let’s Grow Crazy is entering a new chapter of growth.
While preparations are underway for the outdoor season, shoppers no longer have to wait for market day. Let’s Grow Crazy now offers a year-round indoor farmers market located inside The Collective in downtown Mineral Wells.
The expansion marks a major milestone for the grassroots nonprofit as it celebrates five years of connecting local growers, food producers and the community in 2026.

A Market You Can Shop All Year
The indoor space provides:
- Ample parking
- A quick, convenient shopping experience
- Access to many favorite open-air vendors
- The ability to shop seven days a week
From shelf-stable staples like jams, pickles, pasta, honey and sauerkraut to fresh sourdough bread, salsas and loose-leaf teas, shoppers will find a wide variety of locally made products.
One exciting addition to the indoor market is a glass-door display refrigerator, allowing vendors to stock cold items such as fresh juices, salsa, ranch dressing, cheesecake and other specialty goods.
In addition to food-based items, shoppers can browse wellness and holistic offerings including tinctures, soaps, lotions, tallows and chapsticks. The Let’s Grow Crazy indoor market is located near the stairs and elevator inside The Collective.

Now Seeking Vendors
As the growing season begins, Let’s Grow Crazy is actively looking to expand its indoor market offerings and needs additional items to sell.
The organization is currently seeking vendors offering:
- Nut butters
- Cheeses
- Salad dressings
- Granolas and cereals
- Dehydrated goods
There is also room for additional pickles, breads, salsa and seasonings.
With changes to Texas Cottage Food Law which took effect September 1, 2025, new opportunities are opening for home-based food entrepreneurs. Anyone interested in becoming a vendor is encouraged to reach out via email at market@letsgrowcrazy.org.
Sample Saturdays
To introduce shoppers to the expanded indoor offerings, vendors have launched “Sample Saturdays” at The Collective. These events allow customers to taste products, meet the makers and enjoy a more interactive shopping experience.
The next Sample Saturday will be held February 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Outdoor Market Season Begins April 4
The open-air farmers market season officially begins April 4th, 9am to 12pm at the LGC Community Garden located at 500 SE 2nd Ave. Those interested in participating as a vendor or anyone who would like to rent a raised bed in the community garden are encouraged to visit the Let’s Grow Crazy website for details and registration information.

I was so blessed to meet this organization the second week moving to Mineral Wells.
They are definitely dedicated to promoting healthy, locally sourced food.
Like all small local Non-Profits, they do rely on local support.
Not just financial but also volunteering.
Here is a link to support with modest donations.
Monthly or lump sum.
