Texas A&M Forest Service to host Ross Fire recovery workshop in Graford
By Amy Meyer | Mineral Wells Area News
Landowners affected by the Ross Fire and other wildfires during the 2026 fire season will have an opportunity Wednesday to learn about resources available to help with recovery and restoration.

Texas A&M Forest Service will host an After the Fire Recovery Workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at The Cliffs Conference Center, 225 Clubhouse Drive at Possum Kingdom Lake.
The workshop is designed to help landowners navigate the recovery process following a wildfire, with topics including grass restoration, landscape stabilization, tree recovery, wildfire preparedness and cost-share programs.
The program comes just weeks after the Ross Fire burned more than 90,000 acres across Palo Pinto and neighboring areas, destroying and damaging homes, outbuildings and other property.
As residents and landowners move from the immediate wildfire response into long-term recovery, the workshop will provide information about restoring fire-damaged land and preparing property for future wildfire threats.
The workshop is hosted by Texas A&M Forest Service.
