Defending State Champs Down CCS 46-0

It was a long night for the Community Christian Warrior’s as they never could get on track in a 45-point rule loss at halftime to Harvest Christian Academy.

The Warriors gave up big plays on defense as Harvest Christian scored on runs of 90, 85 and 18 yards. Harvest Christian, out of Bartonville, added a touchdown pass of 83 yards with less than two minutes in the second quarter to put the game away with a 46-0 score.
CCS couldn’t get out of their own way. The Warrior’s were stopped on 4th down twice. They had 1st and goal from the 14 yard line and fumbled on the next play. Later in the second quarter, CCS drove to the 12 yard line, but once again the Warrior’s turned the ball over on a fumble.
It was a great season, winning their Bi-District game 52-50 and advancing to the semi-finals for the first time since 2011.
