Flood Warnings Issued

A severe weather warning has been issued by the National Weather Service that could bring heavy flooding to Palo Pinto County.
Significant threat to life or property is expected due to potential flooding in the areas listed from Thursday, 7am May 16th into Friday the 17th.
Description:
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE…Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including the following counties, Collin, Comanche, Dallas, Denton, Erath, Hamilton, Hood, Jack, Kaufman, Lampasas, Mills, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Wise, and Van Zandt.
* WHEN…From 7 AM CDT this morning through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches.
